Literacy Project

LITERACY PROJECTS FOR CHILDREN
“Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world” – James 1:27

“ And he took a child, and set him in the midst of them: and when he had taken him in his arms, he said unto them, …. Whosoever shall receive one of such children in my name, receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me, receiveth not me, but him that sent me” – Mark 9: 36, 37.

NECESSITY OF THE CHILDREN LITERACY PROJECT: –
Though modernization in rapid in India, most of the people are still living below the poverty line. So that many parents are not able to send their children to school for the better education even though they want to do so. Also they are not having regular jobs for their daily needs.

Due to this cause, their children become mentally affected. Though the children want to go for education whether better education or normal education, it is difficult for them to do so. So, we are having the burden towards the fundamental rights of children. Finally we would like to conduct the Literacy programmes in the evening after the school ends for them by providing the needs of their education such as, Uniforms, Note Books, School Bags, Foot wears, writing materials and etc.

IMPLEMENTATION OF OUR PROJECTS
The children are gathering in the morning for devotion at the project centers and then they are go to school. When they come back from the school in the evening, our teachers will be present in the camps to receive the children from the school and assist them in their homework. Since all these community parents are illiterate and could not help their children in their studies, we take care of their homework. The Christian teachers who work in our projects help the children in their studies. We provide snacks and milk for these children after their study time. Many of their parents have offered the works that required children to participate and take-up some small work to earn a living.

The parents are trying to find some coolie work to get some money to buy provisions. For most of them it is difficult to get a job and have began to suffer. We also try to help the parents to get work
